My favorite Chinese restaurant is usually packed with people. They are always at the top of the list of favorite restaurants for locals. Having been a patron for years, I already knew why. Just the same, I took some mental notes. We can all stand to learn something about customer service from this business! Despite having a nice sized staff, the owners always greet each patron, speak gently and with courtesy, and make every person that walks through the door feel like family. The place is always clean, the service is quick, the portions are huge, the prices are fair, and the food is delicious. The truth is, they could charge more, and I'd still pay it! While I do love the food, I'm really paying for how they have made me feel. "Dinner is ready, Sir!" Not, "here's your food." "How is the Mrs.?" "How is business going?" Always a smile on their faces, and always so positive and friendly. They have taken underpromise and overdeliver to a different level. Treating your customers like family clearly yields results.
