You simply can’t outrun Mother Nature. Whilst the 21.50 departure to Tirana does all it can to mess with your circadian rhythm, the sight of the sunrise catching you up from the east, despite flying at 500mph, is something special. On changeover from Maastricht to London, I put my request in - “Wizz Go 26 November Juliet, request direct FITME”, the controller came back saying he was already working on it. At 0330, you can’t underestimate how great it was to hear that and the reply was even better - “Wizz Go 26 November Juliet good news, direct FITME and free speed!!”
