New Paper! 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗰 𝗥𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲𝘀: 𝗦𝗶𝘅 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗭𝗲𝗿𝗼 Based on early valley-floor reset restoration projects in the UK, we present an academic-practitioner collaboration to identify key opportunities and challenges of this restoration paradigm. As well as describing the initial results from restoration at two UK sites (River Aller (National Trust) and River Witham (Environment Agency)), we describe six lessons learnt from implementing Stage 0 restoration in these anthropogenically-constrained riverscapes. Many thanks to co-authors and those who facilitated the work including; Matthew Johnson, Ben Eardley, Matthew Hemsworth, Arnaud FORET, Luca Mao, Matt Parr, Alan Puttock & Richard Brazier.
