Almost 10 years ago, we gathered in the Anderson Family Commons to welcome Dean Peter Rodriguez to Rice Business. This week, we gathered there again to say goodbye. We’re sending him on to Wake Forest University with full hearts and deep gratitude — not only for what he built here, but for how he made us feel while building it. He was a dean you’d catch chatting with students in the hallways, sharing a laugh before a meeting or offering a word of encouragement exactly when you needed it. While his presence will be deeply missed, the culture he’s leaving behind is here to stay. Thank you, Peter, for everything. The next dean is going to have the best job of their life.
