Spatial Art, a new and hollow concept to grab attention among the thousands or millions of artists trying to attract it. Even somber words like monumental or momentum can't give a work what it doesn't already possess. Throughout human history, art has left its mark when it employs new, revolutionary, or imaginative techniques, or when it has profound and universal content. To put it more professionally, it has an impact on the morphological or semantic. However, strictly speaking, this "Spatial Art" has nothing monumental about it: large canvases with vast areas of color and brushstrokes impact the viewer through their sheer size, nothing more. Monumental are the ruins in Luxor, or a cathedral like the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. The result is not novel (Pollock astonished with his Action Painting half a century ago), and the final result is very similar to that of the showy painters who have been working with heavy impasto and palette knives instead of brushes for over a century. There's nothing new under the sun, just attention-grabbing, getting likes from those unfamiliar with the art world. But art is something different entirely.
