Der Gäubahnausbau Nord geht in die nächste Phase und wird auch für Außenstehende immer sichtbarer: Die zentrale Baustelleneinrichtung an der Landesstraße L 1192 ist weit fortgeschritten, und die Großbohrgeräte für den Vortrieb der zwei Tunnelröhren des Pfaffensteigtunnels stehen parat. Gemeinsam mit SWIETELSKY übernimmt die Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group bei diesem Projekt als ARGE „VP5 Gäubahn“ zentrale Leistungen in den Bereichen Oberbau, Bahninfrastruktur und Stromversorgung. Im Mittelpunkt stehen unter anderem die Feste Fahrbahn im rund elf Kilometer langen Pfaffensteigtunnel, der Schotteroberbau auf der freien Strecke und im Bereich des Abzweigs Mönchsbrunn sowie weitere bahntechnische Ausrüstungs- und Infrastrukturarbeiten. Mit dem Ausbau der Gäubahn wird die internationale Verbindung zwischen Stuttgart und Zürich leistungsfähiger und fit für den Deutschlandtakt gemacht. Gleichzeitig setzt die Deutsche Bahn bei diesem Großprojekt konsequent auf das Partnerschaftsmodell Schiene. Weitere Informationen finden Sie hier: https://lnkd.in/erFa5dKu // The Gäubahn North upgrade is entering its next phase and is becoming increasingly visible to the public: the central construction site facilities along state road L 1192 are well advanced, and the large tunnel boring equipment for excavating the two tubes of the Pfaffensteig Tunnel is ready for deployment. Together with SWIETELSKY, the Rhomberg Sersa Rail Group, operating as the “VP5 Gäubahn” joint venture, is responsible for key works on this project in the areas of track systems, railway infrastructure and power supply. Major elements of the contract include the construction of the slab track within the approximately 11-kilometre-long Pfaffensteig Tunnel, ballast track construction on the open line and in the Mönchsbrunn junction area, as well as further railway systems, infrastructure and electrification works. The upgrade of the Gäubahn line will strengthen the international rail connection between Stuttgart and Zurich and prepare the route for Germany’s integrated timetable concept, the Deutschlandtakt. At the same time, the project is one of the first major rail infrastructure schemes to consistently apply Deutsche Bahn’s collaborative “Partnership Model Rail”.
