🌏 From Kiel to Melbourne – international collaboration that brings people together.   Mareike Ravetta, technical author at the Rheinmetall Group, works in an international environment in Australia, demonstrating how cultural diversity can strengthen teams. With colleagues from over 40 nations, she experiences every day how enriching different perspectives can be. “I love seeing how respectfully and friendly people from so many different cultures and with different backgrounds work together – this diversity of perspectives makes us stronger as a team.“ She is particularly impressed by the open and supportive mentality of her Australian colleagues. After just nine months of training in Kiel, she headed ‘down under’. “I was welcomed with open arms from the very first moment and very quickly felt like I was an integral part of the team.“ In addition, teamwork and a solution-oriented approach are the norm here. Finger pointing is frowned. Instead, people try to find a solution together. For her, this is the key to successful international projects – regardless of location or origin. “When people are open with each other and support each other, the best solutions emerge – across cultural boundaries.” Experiences like this show how international cooperation and cultural diversity promote innovation and team spirit.
