🌏 Challenging stereotypes and shaping change - also on International Day of Women in Engineering #INWED 2026 🌏   Yet many women in engineering still know what it feels like to stand out in environments traditionally dominated by men. This week, our colleagues from around the world shared honest reflections about confidence, visibility, stereotypes, and the importance of representation in engineering. 🇩🇪 Anne from Germany recalls moments where outdated expectations were still present: 📢“I was also asked far too often to top up the coffee or take the minutes.” 🇭🇷 And Monika from Croatia says: 📢“Skills and knowledge matter more than stereotypes.” 🇮🇳 Devyani from India learned to let her work speak for itself: 📢“Capability matters more than stereotypes.” Progress happens when different perspectives are welcomed, respected, and empowered. And every visible role model helps inspire the next generation to believe they belong in engineering too.
