Habitat 7 in Gothenburg is a distinctive nine-storey office building that speaks to the imagination. Wood, glass and aluminium come together in spectacular fashion to provide visitors with a unique living and working experience. The project takes sustainable construction to a whole new level. For instance, for its use of low-carbon glass, Habitat 7 recently won the prestigious Glaspriset 2026 (Glass Award). Its responsible material use also relates to the choice of joinery. For Reynaers Aluminium and Swedish fabricator bARK, the project meant the first implementation of what would become TimberWall 50, our new wood-aluminium hybrid façade solution that combines excellent weatherproof performance with low-carbon impact and efficient fabrication.
