9 researchers at Revolut, in collaboration with NVIDIA, published a scientific paper on AI and banking. The problem they were solving is one the industry has been ignoring. Most AI models in finance are built for text. But banking data is something else. Transactions, app actions, and trades are long, complex sequences of events that generic models were never designed to handle. Instead of adapting tools that weren't built for the job, they built one from scratch. The result is PRAGMA: Revolut's foundation model for banking event sequences trained on 24 billion events that enables better credit scoring, fraud detection, and product recommendations — all in one.
