Her study, "𝘞𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘱𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘦-𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘩𝘺𝘥𝘳𝘰-𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘤 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘶𝘴 𝘧𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘦𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬", examines how uniform and dynamic water pricing strategies can help manage water scarcity under future climate and socio-economic pressures, using the Júcar River Basin (Spain) as a case study. The work was carried out with Hector Macian-Sorribes-Sorribes, Adrià Rubio Martín, and Manuel Pulido-Velazquez at 𝐈𝐈𝐀𝐌𝐀 (Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV)). 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠: both pricing strategies reduced unsustainable water use and improved ecological resilience, but the way they do so matters. Uniform pricing cut withdrawals sharply (~30% vs. baseline) yet penalised lower-productivity crops and reduced economic efficiency. Dynamic pricing, based on a Marginal Resource Opportunity Cost (MROC) approach, achieved a more balanced outcome, adjusting tariffs to reflect real scarcity conditions while preserving cross-sectoral economic performance.
