𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞’𝐬 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐧. RESiLICON participated in #SolarPowerSummit 2026 in Brussels, where our Chief Commercial Officer, Carl J. van Vugt Luning, joined a panel discussion on “𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐒𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐫 𝐏𝐕 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧”. The discussion brought together representatives from SolarPower Europe, Oxford PV, the European Commission and INES - Institut National de l'Energie Solaire. A strong theme throughout the session was that Europe’s long-term competitiveness will depend not only on technological innovation, but also on the ability to scale and strengthen industrial capacity across the full solar value chain. The exchange also underlined the importance of a broader point: diversity and scalability matter. Reducing strategic vulnerabilities requires greater supplier diversity and industrial depth across the value chain. As one speaker put it: “𝑂𝑛𝑒 𝑠𝑢𝑝𝑝𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑟 𝑖𝑠 𝑛𝑜 𝑠𝑢𝑝𝑝𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑟.” As Carl highlighted during the panel: “𝑇𝑜 𝑏𝑢𝑖𝑙𝑑 𝑎 𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝐸𝑢𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑛 𝑠𝑜𝑙𝑎𝑟 𝑣𝑎𝑙𝑢𝑒 𝑐ℎ𝑎𝑖𝑛, 𝑅𝐸𝑆𝑖𝐿𝐼𝐶𝑂𝑁 𝑖𝑠 𝑓𝑜𝑐𝑢𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑜𝑛 𝑠𝑒𝑐𝑢𝑟𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝐸𝑢𝑟𝑜𝑝𝑒’𝑠 𝑠𝑢𝑝𝑝𝑙𝑦 𝑜𝑓 𝑢𝑙𝑡𝑟𝑎-𝑝𝑢𝑟𝑒 𝑝𝑜𝑙𝑦𝑠𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑐𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑏𝑢𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡𝑜 𝑎 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑜𝑛𝑔𝑒𝑟 𝑖𝑛𝑑𝑢𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑎𝑙 𝑏𝑎𝑠𝑒.” We welcome further conversations with stakeholders interested in long-term industrial growth in Europe.
