NEW PAPER ALERT 📣 First-ever shaft integration of 6-axis F/T sensor into surgical tool with low error results We are excited to finally share the results of our research collaboration with Case Western Reserve University and Zonghe Chua! In the joint research, we integrated our 6-axis force/torque sensor into a Intuitive Surgical RAMIS tool (DaVinci Research Kit) to enable precise measurement of interaction forces in robotic surgery. By combining miniaturized force sensing with AI‑based force estimation, this work introduces a highly accurate and replicable approach to force‑aware surgical research and telesurgery applications. The integration of high‑fidelity force sensing directly into a surgical tool marks a significant step forward in advancing data‑driven surgical robotics and medical research. Thanks to all people involved for the great work! 🔗 Find the link to the paper and GitHub page in the comments. We'll share more insights on mechanical integration and results within the next days - stay tuned! #Resense #CaseWesternUniversity #researchcollaboration #ForceSensing
