Our employees teamed up with Keep Tampa Bay Beautiful for a National Neighborhood Promise® Day of Service at Young Middle Magnet School, where they supported the beautification of an engaging outdoor learning space. Volunteers constructed benches, planted trees and greenery, installed compost bins and created a seed library to help students grow vegetables and herbs at home. Supported by a grant from the Republic Services Charitable Foundation, this work is part of a broader effort to plant 900 trees across 10 low-income neighborhoods in Hillsborough and Polk Counties. The initiative is helping restore tree canopies lost during recent hurricanes while improving shade and air quality in the communities we serve. Through our National Neighborhood Promise® program, we partner with nonprofits to help expand access to essential resources and build more sustainable communities through grants, in-kind support and volunteerism.
