From 31 July, Germany becomes the first major EU economy to fully implement the Right to Repair Directive. This isn't just another regulatory update. It's a signal that repairability is becoming a business requirement. In practical terms, manufacturers will be expected to: • Repair the products they place on the market. • Stop creating unnecessary barriers to independent repair. • Make spare parts available at reasonable prices. • Recognise that poor repairability can now be treated as a product defect. For business leaders, the message is clear: repair is moving from an afterthought to a core part of product strategy. Germany is leading the way, and the rest of the EU is due to follow by 31 July 2026. The companies that adapt early won't just be ready for compliance. They'll be better positioned to reduce waste, strengthen customer trust, and build more resilient business models. #RightToRepair #RepairDontWaste #CircularEconomy #ESPR #IndustrialElectronics
