On July 2, 2026, Uwe Buecheler, PhD, Veit Bergendahl and Dr. Latika Bhonsle-Deeng welcomed Johannes Sarx, CEO of BIOPRO Baden-Württemberg GmbH, the state agency for the healthcare sector of Baden-Württemberg, to our Laupheim site. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to discuss the future of the biopharmaceutical industry, current developments across the sector, and the opportunities and potential of Baden-Württemberg as a biotech hub. The discussion also highlighted the significance of the BioPharma Cluster South Germany, the leading European hub for the research-based development and manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals, of which we are proud members. A particular focus was on our new BMS facility, which represents an important milestone for the further development of Rentschler Biopharma. We also discussed shared perspectives for the industry, the role of innovation and collaboration, and the respective activities and initiatives of BIOPRO and Rentschler Biopharma.
