It’s always inspiring to exchange perspectives and experiences across industries. At this year’s Asia-Pacific Summit in Stuttgart, Germany, hosted by the Ministry of Economics of Baden-Württemberg and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Region Stuttgart, our colleagues Konstantin Bagnjuk and Silja Maria Wiedeking met professionals from various industries. Konstantin Bagnjuk, our Head of Business Development Asia, was part of an expert panel on opportunities, trends and strategies for mid-sized companies in Japan and South Korea. Moderated by Caroline Müller-Runte-Runte of Baden-Württemberg International (BW_i), Konstantin, Dr Lucas Witoslawski, German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan, Felix Kalkowsky, German Chamber of Commerce and Industry in South Korea and Joel Sigle, Erbe Group, discussed market potentials, market entry strategies and local partnerships. Konstantin shared his industry insight and experience working with clients and partners in the two countries. He emphasized the importance of understanding local cultures and business practices, as well as the role of trust and reliability as the foundation of long-term client partnerships in Japan and South Korea. Rentschler Biopharma has been active in the region for many years, serving a wide range of CDMO clients. The panelists furthermore discussed the countries’ roles as key innovation hubs, also in the healthcare and biotech sectors. With their well-established and growing biopharma industries, Japan and South Korea are key markets for biopharmaceutical development. Driven by strong investments, demographic shifts, and technological transformation, they are dynamic markets of the future. Thank you for the thought-provoking panel and to the organizers for the inspiring summit!
