Full order books don’t build finished drivetrain systems on their own. That takes a supply chain that scales with you. Last week, we hosted our second RENK Supplier Day. Last year was a first step toward bringing our most important suppliers deeper into our value creation network. ➡️ This year, everything is a bit different. Unit volumes are rising, and regulatory requirements around sustainability, supply chain compliance, and rare earth materials keep expanding. Geopolitical uncertainty has turned resilient sourcing from an operational question into a strategic one. That’s why we brought our most important partners into the room. We’re talking about how to scale capacity together as demand accelerates, how to advance quality standards that keep pace with growth, and how to use AI to replace the manual and time-intensive processes that still slow both sides down. We’re also pushing on digitalization: moving away from reactive supply chain management toward a model where shared data standards and real-time transparency enable faster, better decisions on both sides. We draw a deliberate line between two kinds of relationships. A good supplier relationship works reliably day to day. A strategic partnership goes further: co-developing solutions, investing in each other long-term, improving proactively before problems arise. We’re also watching the broader industry shift away from pure product delivery toward long-term availability models, where partners share responsibility for uptime and ongoing performance. That’s the direction we’re heading, and we want partners thinking the same way. Geopolitical shifts, compliance demands that keep expanding, and a pace of growth that has surprised many in our industry and none of this gets solved by one company acting alone. It takes partners who understand our requirements, share our standards, and are willing to grow with us. The Supplier Day is where that kind of partnership gets built. Not through slide decks, but through open, direct conversation.
