Three years ago, I hung up my white coat and followed my interest in Healthcare IT. This has lead me to the unique opportunity to join the Federal Office of Public Health FOPH, where, in the team of Alain Fellmann, we will face the "small" challenge of building the next generation of infectious disease surveillance systems. Thanks to Ralph Baumgartner and the team for the three great years with Eraneos Switzerland - filled with projects, coffee-talks and the joy of working alongside people who trully love what they do! The experience equipped me with an invaluable toolkit and I wish the team all the best going forward! Now back to work, there is much to be done! P.S. I’m considering launching a blog series on the fascinating topic of health data standardization and disease monitoring. Every day, countless people work to keep pathogens in check. What do you think? Do YOU know what systems are in place to protect public health? #newjob #FutureOfHealth #epidemiology #FHIR #excited
