6 GW TOPCon production in India — engineered for lower water use, reduced chemistry consumption and low OPEX RENA Technologies has secured a major order from EMMVEE ENERGY PRIVATE LIMITED, a long-standing, India-based TIER1 solar cell manufacturer, for advanced wet-chemical production equipment supporting 6 GW of high-efficiency TOPCon solar cell manufacturing in India. The project will deploy enhanced production solutions tailored for TOPCon (Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) cell technology. The scope of supply includes several units each of BatchTex 3 N600, InEtchSide 4+ BSG (Borosilicate Glass removal), InEtchSide 4+ PSG (Phosphosilicate glass removal), BatchEtch 3 N600, and BatchPolyClean 3 N600 for high-volume, high-yield manufacturing environments. To ensure highest level of competitiveness of our customer EMMVEE and environmental consciousness, the tools are equipped with the latest and most efficient water-, chemistry- and power-saving solutions on a very low footprint which results in significant OPEX savings for the customer. • Water-saving process solutions designed to reduce resource consumption in high-volume manufacturing • Reduced chemistry usage to support more efficient, sustainable wet processing • Low OPEX through optimized water, chemistry and power consumption and small footprint • Wastewater reduction supporting environmental compliance and lower treatment effort • High-throughput TOPCon equipment built for gigawatt-scale, high-yield production With this project, RENA again strengthens its role as a technology partner in India for competitive and sustainable solar cell manufacturing — helping customers scale production while improving resource efficiency and total cost of ownership. “This order represents a significant milestone not only for our company but also for the expansion of domestic photovoltaic manufacturing in India,” said RENA CEO, Peter Schneidewind. “By enabling high-efficiency TOPCon cell production at gigawatt scale, we are supporting our long-term customer in building a competitive and sustainable supply chain. This project highlights the strength of our technology portfolio and the trust in European processing expertise.” Read the full press release: https://bit.ly/43MyPPH
