We’re excited to share that we have received almost $50,000 in funding from the Victorian Government to support the next stage of our recycled bin wheel initiative. This funding is not for new equipment or a factory build. Instead, it will fund the commercial work needed to turn a proven pilot into a scalable business. Working with 3DEEP Engineering, we will develop a business plan, validate the market opportunity, build an investment pathway and create a go-to-market strategy. In short, it helps us move from “this works” to “councils can buy this.” Why does this matter? Every 12 years, millions of bin wheels reach end of life. Until now, they have largely been sent to landfill. We are building a system to recover those wheels and turn them into new wheels manufactured in Victoria from recycled Victorian material. At scale, this initiative has the potential to recover 1,815 tonnes of material annually and abate more than 5,000 tonnes of methane emissions each year. A small wheel, but a significant opportunity for circular manufacturing in Australia. Thank you to the Victorian Government for backing this work. We’re looking forward to what comes next.
