Back-to-back World Surf League Championship Tour wins for Carissa Moore and a historic first CT victory for Leonardo Fioravanti highlighted a memorable Surf City El Salvador Pro. Moore followed up her New Zealand triumph with her 30th Championship Tour victory, continuing a strong return to competition and moving up to second in the 2026 rankings. “When I saw Tyler in the locker room, I just said, 'This is like the old days, this is awesome.' It's really cool to see the veterans make a push this year, make some Finals, and take some wins.” On the men's side, Fioravanti became the first Italian surfer to win a Championship Tour event, defeating World No. 1 Ítalo Ferreira in the final to secure the breakthrough result after 10 years competing at the sport's highest level. “It doesn't feel real. This sport is so hard, and I've dedicated the last 10 years of my life to getting this win,” Fioravanti said. “That Final at Pipe last year really broke my heart, but I never gave up.” The result moves Fioravanti to third in the 2026 rankings behind Ferreira, with the next stop on tour set for the VIVO Rio Pro in Brazil.
