SVP of Marketing @ Yext | Host of the Visibility Brief podcast | AI, Brand Awareness, Product Marketing, Leadership

I got to co-author a blog post with some brilliant Yext folks, and I'd love for you to read it. Wendi Sturgis, Christian J. Ward, Chris Brownlee, and Kamelia Gouchev are some of the sharpest people I know, and what made this piece interesting is that we each approached it from a completely different place. Christian through the lens of data science. Chris through the product. Wendi from years of experience working with the world's leading brands. Kam from the customer success side, watching how this plays out for real businesses every day. And me? I'm a marketer in the trenches, both helping our customers understand what's actually happening in search right now and living it firsthand as I lead our own team through it. Here's where I landed personally: - The biggest mistake brands are making right now is jumping straight into execution without asking the harder question: Are we actually structured to show up consistently? AI visibility isn't a content problem. It's a data quality problem. - AI is where customers discover and validate options. Google and your own properties are where they confirm. You need to show up well in both, and they need to tell exactly the same story. - And the goal, as I see it: no relevant question goes unanswered by your brand, wherever it gets asked.
