A mentor told me something early in my career that I've never forgotten. Whenever I'd get stressed, he'd say: "Relax. We're not curing cancer. We're just doing marketing." I think about this a lot right now. The pressure marketing leaders are feeling is real. The pace of change is genuinely unlike anything most of us have navigated before, and it can feel overwhelming. But I think we're losing perspective. We have been here before. Not with AI specifically, but with channel disruption. Over and over again. And every time, the leaders who stayed grounded in fundamentals while everyone else panicked were the ones who came out ahead. So here's me attempting to relax. What's your outlet?
