This week, Real Food for Kid's Program Manager Laura Jayne was on the Hill with anti-hunger advocates from across the nation championing SNAP and other federal nutrition programs! This advocacy day concluded the 3-day Food Research & Action Center National Antihunger Policy Conference. It was an immense privilege to connect with all kinds of advocates who share the mission of dismantling barriers to healthy food for all Americans. In bleak times as these, it is more important than ever to align resources and observations and coordinate delivery of services. We personally appreciated the insight presented in the breakouts on SummerEBT, School Lunches, and Protecting Immigrant families for improving the efficacy of our programs.
