From Indian Institute of Technology, Madras to the global stage in France, Eon Space Labs is showcasing how Indian innovation is advancing the future of aerospace imaging and space technologies. Selected to represent India at Bharat Innovates 2026, an initiative of the MINISTRY OF EDUCATION, GOVERNMENT OF INDIA, being held in Nice, France, Eon Space Labs is among a select group of deep-tech ventures presenting breakthrough technologies to global investors, industry leaders, and innovation ecosystems. Founded by IIT Madras alumni Mr Sanjay Kumar, Co-Founder, Aerospace Engineering, and Mr Punit Badeka, Co-Founder, Master's, Industrial Production and Technologies, Shri G S Institute of Technology & Science, Eon Space Labs is developing indigenously built, miniaturised EO/IR imaging payloads for drones, satellites, defence, and space applications. Its innovations include lightweight EO/IR payloads, germanium-free infrared optics, and SWIR modules for high-precision visibility imaging. Since its founding in 2022, the startup has rapidly established itself in Indiaโs growing space-tech ecosystem, building cutting-edge solutions that reduce dependence on imported EO/IR systems while strengthening indigenous capabilities.
