“The Game of Codes”, one of the standout presentations at Sustainability osapiens Summit 2026, made one thing clear: sustainability, transparency, and circularity only work with reliable data. And data only creates value when it is structured, standardized, and connected to the physical product. It all starts with the right codes. Last week, our colleagues Frank Debusmann and Khanda Daudi attended SoS.26 by osapiens where leaders, technology experts, and industry decision-makers came together to discuss how compliance, transparency, and digitalization are converging into one shared challenge. The key takeaways are: 👉 PPWR and the Digital Product Passport (DPP) are turning sustainability ambitions into operational reality by enabling transparency and traceability at scale. 👉 End-to-end traceability only works when reliable data remains consistently linked to the physical product across its entire lifecycle. 👉 Sustainability is no longer a standalone initiative – it is becoming an operational requirement shaped by regulation, transparency, and execution. At REA, we support manufacturers in exactly this step – with industrial marking technologies, verification systems, and the expertise needed to keep physical products and digital data securely connected throughout the entire lifecycle. A big thank you to osapiens for hosting an inspiring summit and bringing together such a strong community of experts and industry leaders.
