💭Reflecting as I cross the 6 year mark at Duolingo and celebrate my 6 year Duoversary 🎉 Duolingo, you’ve been the lesson of a lifetime 💚 In 2020, I showed up thinking I would spend the next couple of years building the university team (thank you Jocelyn S. Lai!). If I only had a clue how much bigger this would be… Over the past 6 years I have had the chance to lead almost every vertical of recruiting. I’ve built, rebuilt, and then built again (and also failed, learned, succeeded and failed again — that’s the beauty of it right?!) I’ve had the pleasure of reconnecting with former rockstar co-workers — Adam Rousseau, Julius Shead, Kandace Young, Amy Puron, Carissa Contestabile, made new, lifelong friends Brittany Mitlo, Meghan Walker, Xavier A. Gonzalez, Andy Cipolaro, Liz Talley-King (+ many more!) and managed amazing teams (there are too many of you to tag, but I adore each and every one of you!) These 6 years are what most people dream they will experience in their career. 🦉Duolingo, thank you for a delightful, challenging and incredibly rewarding 6 years — you continue to be a lesson that teaches me more and more every day.
