I've recently completed a 1-year internship at BlackRock, where I worked as a Finance & Tax Intern in the Tax Operations team. During this time, I was involved in a variety of region-specific tax reporting and compliance procedures and operational processes, including preparing tax documentation, ensuring proper approval of invoices, contributing to fund termination processes and maintaining key data trackers for reporting, analysis, and process improvement. This experience gave me valuable insight into how a global asset manager operates and how different jurisdictions treat funds from a tax perspective. Beyond technical knowledge, I strengthened my analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate in an international, multicultural environment.
