Anthropic's Fable 5 continues to be unusable. Since it keeps sneakily switching to Opus 4.8 for even the most innocent Rust networking code debugging session, I tried asking it to create a mobile app for GRE prep. The most innocuous request in the world, yes? Oh no no no, not according to the rabidly overzealous safeguards of Fable 5. Surely a mobile app for GRE prep is as dangerous as creating a biological weapon. I hope Anthropic keeps doing this, so I can finally save 200 / month 🙄
