St. John’s University already had the legacy. The challenge was finding a way to give it form. A way to hold it. To collect it. To experience it. That’s where ACRE 102 came from. Named after the university’s 102-acre campus in Queens, the concept was built around the foundation it stands on — the land, the history, and the generations that shaped it. From naming and brand development to visual storytelling and label packaging, Raw Guild Studios built the concept from the ground up. Every detail had a reason. The foundation of the label pulls from archived Queens maps — grounding the design in the place where the story began. The torn edge was inspired by old archival paper and historical records, giving the label a sense of age, texture, and permanence. The lightning-marble texture introduces movement and contrast, balancing that history with a sharper, more modern edge. The color system was intentional: Red for legacy. Off-white for heritage. Black for structure. Nothing was added just to decorate. Every element was built to connect the concept back to St. John’s — its roots, its history, and the foundation it was built on. Because when the story already exists, the work isn’t to reinvent it. It’s to build on it — and carry it forward. #CreativeDirection #PackagingDesign #LabelDesign #BeverageBranding #BrandStrategy
