If you argue with the question, you look defensive. If you answer it directly, you play by someone else's rules. Watch what she does instead. She first agrees with part of the question, so nobody feels the need to argue. Then she quietly changes what the conversation is really about. And finally, she ends with a thought that is difficult to disagree with. The interesting part is that she never avoided the question. She simply answered it on her own terms.
