It marks a new beginning Falling around April 13–16, Khmer New Year follows the solar calendar and signals the end of the harvest season. It’s a time of renewal, gratitude, and hope. 🔸 2. It’s a 3-day celebration with deep meaning Each day has a special purpose—from honoring the New Year angel, to giving to charity, to cleansing and blessing for the year ahead. 🔸 3. Temples and traditions matter Families visit pagodas, wash Buddha statues, and perform rituals to bring peace, luck, and happiness. 🔸 4. Joy is everywhere — water fights & traditional games! In cities and villages alike, you’ll see people enjoying traditional games and joyful (and wet!) street celebrations. 🔸 5.
