Founder & Product Evangelist - Preaching the gospel of UNIwise and WISEflow + helping Educational Institutions raising quality with digital assessment and exams

From days to minutes – Frankfurt’s DRY thesis workflow Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences is one of those cases that looks “simple” on the surface — and then you realise it’s actually a masterclass in how institutions approach digital transformation. They didn’t just move a thesis workflow online. They rebuilt it. Before: printed submissions, handwritten signatures, repeated data entry across disconnected systems. After: peregos as the single hub for thesis and exam data — and a robust API integration where data is entered once and then flows automatically into WISEflow: student, assessors, deadlines, flow settings — no manual steps. As Dietmar Franzen put it: “The pandemic showed us painfully that traditional workflows simply were not sustainable anymore.” And then the design principle that (honestly) should be printed on a poster in every admin office: “I like this concept from information sciences, DRY: don’t repeat yourself. Do things once and let the machines take care of the rest.” What I really like here is the logic behind it: - Trust through process clarity – everyone can track progress and know what’s next - Reliability through automation – removing “human glue work” like signatures, scanning, emailing - Quality through single source of truth – no duplicate entry, fewer errors, fewer exceptions The impact speaks for itself: approvals down from days to minutes, less stress, less friction, and a workflow that is flexible enough to expand beyond theses into other assessment types. For me, this is the real takeaway: Automation doesn’t have to be “big bang” or complex — but it does need to be intentional. #WISEflow #UNIwise #HigherEducation #DigitalAssessment #DACH #WorkflowAutomation #APIs #ChangeManagement https://lnkd.in/eHMtTi7B
