Senior Full Stack Engineer @ GitLab
I don't post often. Well, honestly I've never been a good writer. But... This week's been an absolute roller coaster of emotions. GitLab has just shed approximately 14% of it's workforce exiting 22 countries reducing its team member geographic footprint by approximately 37%. Somehow I managed not be part of the those 350 people that was let go as of today in this restructuring process. No matter how these decisions are framed, behind every number is a really talented soul. These individuals I've worked alongside, learned from, and genuinely cared about. Over the past few weeks, I've been adding as many GitLab folks as I can on my profile. To all of my former π¦ GitLab colleagues, if you're one of these affected and you're open to new opportunities, drop a comment or send me a message. I'll do whatever I can to help β₯οΈ - whether that's a referral, a recommendation on LinkedIn, or just a coffee chat β. And to every hiring manager and recruiter reading this: 350 talented, experienced, and hardworking people just entered the job market. If you have an open role, now is the time to reach out. Don't sleep on this!!! https://lnkd.in/e2gEUznS #GitLab #GitLabAct2
