Attempts to restrict abortion access are continuing across Australia. Alarmingly, these proposals share a common feature: they are not grounded in evidence, and risk shifting an essential component of women’s healthcare back towards criminalisation. In response to these recent attacks on abortion care, the College has contacted relevant MPs, urging them to vote down legislation that prioritises misinformation over medical evidence. Ideology cannot be prioritised over evidence-based healthcare.
