Today we celebrate World Youth Skills Day, an annual event that recognizes the importance of equipping young people with the skills they need to succeed in their working lives. At Randstad, we believe in the potential of young talent to shape the future and in creating more equitable labor markets where everyone can thrive. That’s why our teams around the world support initiatives that help young people learn new skills and access work. Here are just a few examples: In Belgium, initiatives spanning 34 institutions across the country connect students with study-relevant side jobs and starter positions, easing the transition between school and work 🤝 In France, we have partnered with Ecole de la Deuxième Chance to help provide young talent with career advice, workplace visits and logistics certification training. This program provides practical pathways that address skills gaps and foster employability for NEETs — those not in employment, education or training 🚀 In Italy, Randstad Box expanded into the country’s Motor Valley district and provided over 30 courses in its first half-year, supporting the automotive industry while helping young talent move from education to employment. We have also helped university and Higher Technical Institute teams boost their skills to support high-impact social and environmental projects 🌱 And globally, in 2025 our partnership with VSO enabled Randstad colleagues to advance youth employability and entrepreneurship in Tanzania, Kenya and Cambodia. Through volunteering on the ground, mentoring and fundraising, volunteers have reached over 2,000 people, helping more than 800 secure employment or become self-employed 💪 Thank you to all our colleagues around the world who have offered their time and expertise to support the next generation as they take their first steps into the world of work.
