The elevator doors open on the 8th floor. From the behind you, a smooth white plaster surface slips on a smooth curve from wall to ceiling. To your right the plaster shape folds out and down as a sculptural form coming to lightly rest on the floor. The white surface has a futuristic quality. You have arrived in a space that welcomes you to a company that strives for and makes real the best of what is to come. The space is the story. This place is a corporate sales center, a place where the companies’ sales teams and partners in the marketplace come to visit for a few days and take part in hands-on introductions to the full product line. There are training rooms, darkened, where product performance specifications are presented. But then guests move to see the full line of appliances organized as kitchens. They cook together really feeling the performance of the equipment. They make a meal, sample it as they cook and then move to an outside terrace to share the meal they have made together. Valerio Dewalt Train was the Interior Architect with a team that included Randall Mattheis, Christine McGrath Breuer, Elisa Dennis, Matthew Gamache, and Lauren Shelton AIA, LEED AP Shelton. Project Management by Jennifer Metrik of JLL, Constructed by Leopardo Companies led by Mark Fenton
