Yesterday was my last day at Evergen. I joined in August 2021 to drive growth of the non-residential part of the business, and it has been a wonderful two-and-a-half-ish years but the time has come for me to move on with my head held high. The Evergen team is one of a kind, and I will miss them a great deal. I have learned an awful lot through my time here, not just from my colleagues, but also from the multiple customers and shareholders with whom I had the privilege of spending countless hours discussing some of the most complex topics the industry has to offer. Together, we have worked on projects both in Australia and abroad that have taught us all so much. Helpfully for me, we've done it all with a lot of laughs, memes, and swearing thrown in. I'll be spending a few months working for myself, so do let me know if there's anything you're looking to do that could use a contribution from my alien-like bonce. I have many ideas for how we can accelerate progress across the different areas in which I have made a nuisance of myself over the last ~9 years, and am excited to apply these over the months to come. I'm incredibly grateful for the discussions that have already yielded positive outcomes, which have meant that Ruby and Pebbles can still have premium dog food and the bank definitely won't be repossessing our house any time soon. If you're still reading, thank you for still being here. Thank you for continuing to tolerate me. Hope you have a great holiday period! See you at some goddamn conference or the other in 2024, if not sooner.
