Our booth at World of Coffee San Diego was buzzing last week with great coffee and even better conversations! ☕ Ricardo Madureira, CEO of Orfeu Cafés e Azeites Especiais, and Anthony Vaccaro, Global Vice President of Sales of Green Coffee Company stopped by to share their coffee—and the stories behind it. Among the first in Brazil to achieve Rainforest Alliance Regenerative Agriculture Certification, Orfeu's farms prioritize soil health, water stewardship, biodiversity, and climate resilience. 🌱 Ricardo spoke candidly about the pressures farms are facing: shifting weather patterns, looming El Niño conditions, and forecasts that are increasingly hard to trust. Regenerative practices, he argued, are what help farms stay resilient in the face of that uncertainty. This is exactly why we built our Regenerative Agriculture Standard—to give producers a clear path to building climate resilience, soil health, and a more stable future for people and nature.
