Last month at Rain’s GTM Kickoff in Nashville, we participated in a meaningful volunteer activity that aligns with our mission to remove barriers and give people a little more stability and support, so they’re able to show up, focus and perform at their best. We prepared testing bags for the students of East End Prep in Nashville, where many of the students come from low-income households. For East End Prep students, school is where they get consistency, support and access to things they don’t always have outside the classroom. Testing days can be stressful for any student, but even more so when you don’t always have what you need or something to look forward to afterward. Our team packed 605 testing kits and 713 snack bags to make testing day a little less stressful for these students. The students at East End Prep will be taking the Tennessee Comprehensive Assessment Program (TCAP) at the end of this month, which is required for students in grades 3-8 in Tennessee. Preparing these test kits with snacks and test materials was truly a labor of love and we are so grateful to be able to brighten these students’ lives in a meaningful way. Here are several photos of the Rain GTM team filling the bags and several team members who delivered the bags today.
