It was a pleasure to host Minister Emily Bourke MLC, Minister for Transport and Infrastructure at Rail First’s Islington site to showcase how this historically significant location in South Australia’s rail history is supporting our operations as Australia’s largest locomotive and wagon leasing business — and the nation’s only domestic manufacturer of rail freight wagons — right here in South Australia. The visit was a valuable opportunity to highlight the importance of supporting South Australian manufacturing and recognising the vital role of local businesses that continue to invest in skilled trades and South Australian supply chains.
