WEEKLY INTERVIEWS WITH… Today’s LocLuncher is neither a translator nor a localiser. Ornela Rigotti is a 𝗽𝘀𝘆𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁 by training and a 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿 by vocation, with a strong foothold in the localisation industry. Originally from Argentina, she is fluent in 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘀𝗵 and 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵, and her passion for languages extends to 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗵, which she learnt at school, and 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻, which she picked up while living in Italy in 2021. Now 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮, she’s been calling Bertamiráns home for the past three years, drawn by family ties and the area’s peaceful charm. Her professional journey spans 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 across various industries. She has spent the past five years sourcing talent for translation and interpretation agencies.
