How does creative expression translate into automotive application? At Automotive Interiors Expo Europe, visitors to the KHALIL Design Trend Zone will have the opportunity to find out. As part of our Signature Surfaces installation, textile artist Elke Weisbarth will create a hand tufted surface live throughout the exhibition, transforming a custom yarn from the ECONYL® brand Bespoke Collection into texture, pattern and form for automotive use. Inspired by the newly launched OQTA vehicle, the installation explores the relationship between art, craftsmanship, material expression and automotive design. For us, this is more than a demonstration. It is a reminder that every surface begins with an idea, a gesture and a creative process.
