Before a surface can tell a story, the material must speak first. For Signature Surfaces, the live installation presented by Racemark within the KHALIL Design Trend Zone, material plays a central role in the creative journey. Created in collaboration with Aquafil Group, the installation will feature a curated collection of bespoke ECONYL® brand yarns selected for their unique textures, colors and expressive potential. Throughout the exhibition, textile artist Elke Weisbarth will transform these materials into a one-of-a-kind automotive surface inspired by the newly launched OQTA vehicle. The project reflects a shared belief that innovation begins long before manufacturing—it starts with the materials that inspire new ideas, new experiences and new possibilities for automotive interiors.
