Formal Training Doesn't Give You The Gift of Artistry ! I believe in formal education in whatever field of endeavor one pursues as their life vocation (or calling). I have two degrees and was working on a 3rd. However, in the field of art, formal education isn't going to give you what only God can. Such is the case with a "Truck Driver" name Joe Macken. Check out this story because this is amazing, and for me proof that "a passion to create is one of the things that helps define our humanity." By the way, I don't agree with the artworld's label of someone being "self taught." I do be believe in a person being "God ordained or called to be an artist." Check out these verses of scripture !!!
