Record number of QE students make it to the Final Round of the International Chemistry Competition 2026- Fifty students from Years 7–12 took part in this highly challenging competition, with 36 students progressing through the final round. Their outstanding results included 20 Bronze Honours and 1 Silver Honour earned by Raihan Ahmed (Y12). The competition challenged students to engage with advanced scientific research by reading complex research papers before applying their chemistry knowledge and problem-solving skills to answer demanding questions. Their success reflects both their academic ability and their commitment to extending their learning beyond the classroom. We are also delighted to celebrate Dr Amy Irvine, Head of Chemistry, who received the Teacher Award for Most Final Round Participants. This prestigious award recognises educators who demonstrate exceptional dedication to supporting their students and inspiring a passion for chemistry and science. Congratulations to all of our students and to Dr Irvine on these outstanding achievements! #Chemistry #FreeThinkingScholarship #BeyondtheClassroom #QEFlourish
