100 years of quantum mechanics - time for a female perspective! With this goal, our colleagues from the cluster of excellence ctd.qmat created an exhibition called “Rethinking Physics” and had a massive impact – especially in schools. With a touch of envy and a great deal of curiosity, we asked our colleagues if they’d be willing to tell us more about the background to the campaign (so that we don’t have to start from scratch with similar plans). After all, we’re all after the same thing: less inequality and power imbalances, and more diversity in academia. Yesterday, we were visited in Hanover by the campaign team, including Alina Markova, Katja Lesser, Nora Termer, and Anna-Leoni A. Werle. Following some excellent input, much-appreciated openness and plenty of questions, we are now brimming with motivation to combine outreach and diversity management into something bigger and to harness the power of the clusters of excellence to drive structural change. #WomeninSTEM #WomeninQuantum #Diversity #Equality
