🌍 Last week, Stuart Nicol, had the pleasure of visiting Perth, Western Australia, to attend the The University of Western Australia Quantum Day for a showcase of the incredible quantum research and industry activity happening at the University and the Pawsey Supercomputing Research Centre. From the QUISA research centre's work on quantum computing in finance, healthcare and bioinformatics, to the Astrophotonics group's cutting-edge quantum communications and imaging projects, and the QDM Lab pushing the boundaries of dark matter detection — the depth of talent and ambition on display was genuinely impressive. In Stuart's own words: "Perth WA has a strengthening ecosystem for commercialising quantum. It was a pleasure to meet those involved and I hope to be able to help further in the future." A huge thank you to the Quantum Australia team and everyone at UWA for the warm welcome.
