European photonic quantum computing leader Quandela and Qatar Stock Exchange-listed Mekdam Holding Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Vision Golfe forum in Paris to explore and deploy quantum computing solutions across Gulf markets. Signed by Xavier Pereira, Chief Growth Officer of Quandela, and Bara’ Sami, General Group Manager of Mekdam Holding Group, the agreement marks Mekdam’s entry into quantum computing and strengthens Quandela’s presence in Qatar and the wider Middle East. The partners will develop high-value use cases for energy, government, critical infrastructure, healthcare and education, while providing cloud access to Quandela’s photonic quantum computers, supporting training and certification programmes, and establishing a Quandela–Mekdam Quantum Center of Excellence for GCC countries. وقّعت شركة كوانديلا (Quandela)، الرائدة أوروبياً في مجال الحوسبة الكمية الضوئية، ومجموعة مقدام القابضة المدرجة في بورصة قطر، مذكرة تفاهم خلال منتدى «فيجن غولف» (Vision Golfe) في باريس لاستكشاف ونشر حلول الحوسبة الكمية في أسواق الخليج. ووقّع الاتفاقية كل من كزافييه بيريرا، الرئيس التنفيذي للنمو في كوانديلا، وبراء سامي، المدير العام للمجموعة في مقدام القابضة. وتمثل الاتفاقية دخول مقدام إلى مجال الحوسبة الكمية، كما تعزز حضور كوانديلا في قطر ومنطقة الشرق الأوسط على نطاق أوسع. وسيعمل الطرفان على تطوير تطبيقات عالية القيمة لقطاعات الطاقة والحكومة والبنية التحتية الحيوية والرعاية الصحية والتعليم، إلى جانب توفير الوصول السحابي إلى الحواسيب الكمية الضوئية التابعة لكوانديلا، ودعم برامج التدريب والتأهيل، وإنشاء مركز تميز مشترك بين كوانديلا ومقدام للحوسبة الكمية لخدمة دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي. https://lnkd.in/gNQ93Tie
